What is the Online Home Energy Assessment?
The Online Home Energy Assessment is an analysis tool that utilizes a series of questions about your home to determine an estimated energy efficiency rating. You will be provided an overall efficiency rating and a series of personalized suggestions that may help you save money by reducing your energy consumption.
How will this online assessment benefit me?
The initial step in improving the energy efficiency of your home is understanding what is causing your home to be inefficient. The Online Home Energy Assessment will assist you in identifying the primary energy users in your home, while providing customized recommendations that may help reduce your energy consumption and save money.
How long will it take?
The online assessment will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete all the questions.
What information is required for the assessment?
The assessment will ask some general information about your home, like the type of building, approximate square footage and age. As you progress through the various sections of the assessment, you will be asked to provide information on your heating, cooling and water heating systems, appliances and lighting, as well as windows, doors and attic insulation. If the requested information is not readily available, please answer the questions to the best of your knowledge.
